VOIP ENGINEER

Fast growing, and highly successful Carrier requires NOC Engineer with previous exposure to a NOC environment.

Job description:

Job Responsibilities

** Network support and analysis:

o Handling escalations from Network Operations Center (NOC).
o Analyze and resolve Customer/Partner issues, determine and document problem root cause.
o Training, documentation, and technical assistance to NOC, provisioning and other departments of the company.
o Support NOC in handling issues with IP Networking, Core Routing and Switching.
o Configuration management and verification including managing current configurations, as well as updates to standard configuration as needed.
o Support capacity management efforts and feedback to infrastructure for capacity concerns and recommend actions.
o Escalate and follow-up with vendors on problems.
o Working closely with Engineering, IS and vendors for upgrade/change device hardware and software. (IOS upgrades, TCL Changes and Patch Upgrades)
o Support NOC in trouble shooting Network Signaling. (H323, SIP, SS7 and ISDN issues, outages and protocol debugs.)
o Support Engineering with evaluation and implementation on new network architecture and designs.
o Plan and participate in Network component redundancy and failover testing

** Routine/Periodic Maintenance on Equipment including (but not limited to):

o Monitoring and trouble shooting Nextone Switches.
o Security auditing and maintenance and management of ACL Changes.
o Gatekeeper/Gateway performance monitoring.
o Session boarder controllers including Nextone
o Review and participate in Network changes and Change Management



Carrier Sales Account Manager

This position is responsible for sales and account management of Network Services, specifically selling to the highly competitive Carrier Service Provider customers. Selling wholesale & retail international call traffic to other carriers..
Responsible for all sales/account management activities for assigned customers. This includes pre and post-sales activities and day-to-day sales account management and capturing a greater carrier base by increasing the number of carrier interconnects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Goes into the telecommunications market to expand the C7 customer base to enhance sales of their international call traffic. Contact carriers from Verizon to smaller calling card operators. Contacting and developing relationships with any carriers who carry international call traffic. To finally creating more interconnects for C7 and managing the accounts and sales with those customers thereafter.
• Prospecting, defining customer needs, proposal preparation and presentation and closing the sale. Experience building a base of business. Positive attitude, sense of urgency, strong work ethic and the desire to be the best. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong negotiation and executive selling skills.
• Manages accounts on an on-going basis. This includes frequent service follow-ups, problem solving, and emerging needs identification.
• Negotiates contracts with Carrier Operations teams in order to achieve revenue growth and retention.
• Expand the market awareness of our client through involvement in trade and commercial organizations.
• Responds to requests from customers for information, support, assistance, joint proposals, pricing, etc. Responds to demand sales requests.
• Supports others within the sales/service team to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Ensure attainment of sales and service objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
• Experience in telecommunications sales to other carriers.
• Experience in customer needs assessment, sales opportunity development, account profiling, and long-range account strategy.
• General knowledge of marketing principles and processes.
• Position Specific Skills:
• Knowledge of switched and dedicated services, and associated end-user and carrier applications.
• Knowledge of basic voip technology specific to carriers international call traffic.
• Operational understanding of telecommunications ordering, provisioning and billing processes.
• Experienced telecom sales representative with a track record of success in selling to the highly competitive Carrier Service Provider customers is preferred.
